Kurmasana Saved My Life

I posted a picture of Kurmasana on the Ashtanga Picture Project Facebook Page and an Ashtangi responded with this inspiring story.

Lauri Hopple┬áKurmasana is my lucky pose, it saved my life. Last summer, I tried a little too hard to clasp my hands behind my back and compressed my collar bone. In the shower later, while exploring the soreness, I found a lump in my right breast. Eight months, eight rounds of chemo, two surgeries and 33 rounds of radiation later, I’ve come out on the other side, stronger in ways I never anticipated. Forever grateful to Kurmasana.
