ASHTANGA: PRIMARY & SECOND SERIES IMMERSIONS

Ashtanga Yoga is the original Vinyasa Yoga. If you understand Ashtanga, you can easily understand all other forms of Vinyasa, Rocket Yoga, and Power Yoga. Ashtanga is an 8 limbed method designed to physically and mentally cleanse the body and nervous system and prepare the practitioner to powerfully face what the world has to offer. Ashtanga’s physicality is matched by the power of its philosophy. This weekend is a journey that will give you a complete yoga practice that can be molded to match every phase of your life.

Ashtanga Yoga 25HR Intensive

Dec 12-13 2020

Fri-Sun 9am-6pm

Khali Yoga Center in Noda

1210 East 36th Street

Demystify the practice of Ashtanga Yoga.

Because all modern Vinyasa styles came from Ashtanga Yoga, a deep study of its practice and philosophy will also serve to illuminate other styles of Vinyasa as well.  The word Ashtanga in Sanskrit means “ashtau” eight and “anga” limb. This eight limbed system teaches the path of mental and physical health, along with awakening and liberation practices, handed down from yogi to yogi since ancient times. Ashtanga’s asana component strengthens the body, deepens flexibility, detoxifies the digestive system and prepares the body for seated pranayama and meditation practices.

This intensive will teach you the practice, philosophy, mantras, Sanskrit counts and key Ashtanga assists.
